Applicant Information
Current employees eligible for university housing may apply to be on the waitlist at any time. New employees may apply to be on the waitlist on the date they accepted the job offer. The waitlist is prioritized by employment/type, request, acceptance date and approval date. When an employee is offered a home and chooses to reject the offer, their name will be placed at the bottom of the waitlist, and the next person on the waitlist will be offered what is available.
Brigham Young University–Hawaii retains sole discretion, subject to applicable law and university policy, in making decisions with regards to leasing its employee housing and may consider a number of factors in selecting tenants, such as, for example, the type of housing desired, length of employment, past due amounts owed the university, and/or prior behavior disruptive to the university housing community (e.g., conduct that jeopardized the safety, security, or privacy of other university housing residents).
Placing your name on the waitlist does not guarantee housing.
